Teaching Human Rights
PHR ProjectOngoing
Leadership
Helen Stacy (Director) - Senior Fellow at FSI
Adam Rosenblatt (Project Coordinator) - Phd candidate, Modern Thought and Literature at Stanford University
This project seeks to create an interdisciplinary community of teachers of human rights at Stanford University by establishing a graduate workshop under the leadership of the Program on Human Rights (PHR). It will prepare Stanford graduate students for a job market in which many universities, colleges, high schools and educational organizations increasingly seek teaching candidates with specific, multidisciplinary expertise in human rights. Lesson plans will be generated and knowledge will be shared on a Teaching Human Rights section of the PHR website. The workshop will be the first TA/teaching preparation activity at Stanford devoted specifically to teaching human rights.
