Michael McFaul argues that Russia's President Vladimir Putin has made a grave error in backing a loser in the recent Ukrainian Presidential Elections. McFaul notes that the damage to Putin's reputation has been severe and that his actions should "call into question the Bush administration's embrace of the Kremlin leader."
