CPA's failure to include Sunnis allowed Iraqi insurgency to build, Diamond says in Tribune article
ARD in the news: Chicago Tribune on July 19, 2004Larry Diamond, coordinator of CDDRL's Democracy Program and recently an adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, is generously quoted in a July 19 Chicago Tribune article that explores how the Iraqi insurgency has grown larger and more diverse in recent months. Diamond asserts that the CPA's failure to adequately include Sunnis in the new structures of power in Iraq, has allowed the insurgency to build steam.
