Gary J. Bass - Associate Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University


Gary Bass Associate Professor of Politics and International Affairs at Princeton University. Bass works on human rights, international justice, international security, and ethics in international relations. He is the author of Stay the Hand of Vengeance: The Politics of War Crimes Tribunals, as well as articles and book chapters on international justice. He is completing a book on the politics of humanitarian intervention and the origins of the modern human rights movement. Before coming to Princeton, he was a reporter for the Economist. He has also written for the New York Times, the New Yorker, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the New Republic, and other publications. Ph.D. Harvard University.
